Terrebonne Parish Warrant Records Terrebonne Parish Warrant Records

This page explains what we can help with and where to send an official question about a Terrebonne Parish warrant. Almost every request belongs with the sheriff's office or the court that issued the process, not with us. The routing below points each kind of question to the office that actually holds the file.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange an appearance, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, contact the sheriff's office or the issuing court directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Route the question by what it is about, because the offices do not share one file:

  • Whether a warrant exists: start with the sheriff's public warrant table, then call the sheriff's office at 985-876-2500 and ask for the Criminal Division or warrants.
  • A district court case or a bench warrant: call the Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court at 985-868-5660 and ask for Criminal Processing, which handles bench warrants, minutes, and dockets.
  • A city traffic, ordinance, or misdemeanor matter: call Houma City Court at 985-868-4232, or the traffic and court compliance lines listed in the parish's court notice.
  • A ward citation: call the justice of the peace office for the ward named on the citation, using the parish's official ward roster.
  • A person in custody or a bond question: call the Criminal Justice Complex at 985-857-0361 before traveling, and ask where a bond is posted.
  • Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk to a licensed Louisiana attorney and the issuing court about a voluntary appearance, a bond, or a motion to recall.

The primary offices are the sheriff's office at 3441 West Park Avenue in Gray, the Clerk of Court at 7856 Main Street in Houma, and Houma City Court at 8046 Main Street. The clerk keeps weekday hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the other offices should be called to confirm their current hours before a visit.

For a records request, use the custodian that holds the file: the sheriff's office form for a sheriff-held record, a Title 44 request to the clerk for a court file, and the parish government's records office at 8026 Main Street for a Houma Police or parish record.
